Merry Christmas 2001!
2001 brought us a new bundle of joy! Dax James Hildebrand was born on May 7, 2001 weighing in at 8lbs 4oz. You can check out his homepage at http://www.jedi.net/~dax . In February, we joined Travis’ parents for a ski trip to Whistler, Canada. We spent a fabulous week skiing, snow boarding, and having a good time! Suzi didn’t get to ski because she was 6 months pregnant, but enjoyed the trip vicariously through Travis!
NowDocs, the company
Travis was working for, ran into financial difficulties in the 3rd
quarter. Travis was laid off in August and has been searching for a job since
then. In the meantime, Suzi was offered a position at her old office, the Texas
Natural Resource Conservation Commission (TNRCC), where she is now doing part
time work on the program she helped initiate 3 years ago. While Travis is
looking for a new job, he is also playing the role of Mr. MOM. As it turns out,
taking care of kids is harder than it looks!
A last minute update is that Travis has a pending deal to do
a 6 month contract with the VA in Austin starting mid-January.
Chance turned 2 years old in October. He is walking, talking, and running all over the place! Some of our favorite sayings of his are:
Apple Bourbon == Uncle Justin,
Ann KiKi == Aunt Katie,
Gramma Pie == Grandma Hi,
Cout == Scout,
Dassy ==Dax,
Peas == Please.
Dax is 7 months old now. He is sitting up by himself, and has just started crawling on his own. We think he is one of the cutest kids ever!
